Why does our Foundation exist?
Once upon a time, there was a woman who was building a lighthouse in the middle of the desert. Everyone made fun of her and called her crazy. “Why is she building a lighthouse in the middle of the desert?” they wondered.
She paid no attention and continued working in silence. One day, she finally finished building the lighthouse.
On a moonless, starless night, the splendid beam began to spin in the darkness of the sky, as if the Milky Way had turned into a carousel.
And it so happened that the moment the lighthouse began to shine, a sea suddenly appeared in the desert, illuminated by a river of light, and in that sea there were transatlantic ships, submarines passing by, whales, ports with Venetian merchants, read beard pirates, the Flying Dutchman, and mermaids…
Everyone was amazed, except for the woman who built the lighthouse. She knew that if someone turns on a light in the midst of the darkness, in the glow of that light… many wonders will emerge.
